Auntie Nan

So I've had the complete pleasure of hosting my sister (affectionately known as Auntie Nan) for the past month. She left this weekend and, I must say, the house seems a little empty without her. I am so thankful that she was able to come and stay ... and even more touched that she WANTED to spend such a huge part of her summer here with us. She was a huge help and a joy to have around.

It is amazing to me that she's grown up so much and developed into such an amazing young woman and, dare I say, one of my very best friends. Little Audrey will have some big shoes to fill someday...when she becomes a lawyer, just like Auntie Nan....which is a logical step in her becoming President (Audrey, that is...not Nanette!)....

Anyway, I just wanted to put something out here in BlogLand saying that you should really appreciate your family. We've been studing the Ten Commandments on Sundays and this week was #5 -- Honor Your Father and Mother. The sermon was very good and it got me thinking....I really, REALLY appreciate my family...including Uncle Nathan and Auntie Nan. I am so blessed to have grown up in such a fabulous family and I can only hope that Audrey can say the same.

Okay, all this is putting my Type A personality on emotion-overload. :-)
Goodnite, world.
